Vol. 10 [UTAKA News] July First Thursday Gathering

• Our alumni association’s First Thursday tradition continued without fail in July.
• This month’s gathering was hosted by Joohae Kim (Accounting ’07) and Minji Lee (Economics ’18) at Thirsty Monk, a pub in Apgujeong, Seoul.
• Over pizza, chicken wings, French fries, craft beer, and non-alcoholic beer, attendees enjoyed a lively and convivial evening.
• This month’s gathering was particularly notable for
  - the number of alumni who traveled a considerable distance to attend,
  - as well as the wide range of locations, age groups, and professions represented among the participants.
• Despite their differences at first glance, everyone connected naturally over shared memories of Austin, baseball players in Austin, and stories from their respective professional and graduate school experiences.
• First Thursday offers a relaxed and welcoming setting where even first-time attendees can quickly feel at ease, join the conversation, and build new connections. We hope to see many of you at the next First Thursday gathering!
