Vol. 6 [UT Stories] Post-Event Reception of the Inaugural Texas Global Alumni Summit in Seoul
- On the evening of April 17, a chimaek (fried chicken and beer) dinner was held at Banpo Hangang Park in Seoul as the closing gathering following the inaugural Texas Global Alumni Summit.
- Walking into Sebitseom, beautifully illuminated along the Han River, guests arrived at the after-party reception venue.

- Hosted by John Kim (PGE ’05), President of the alumni association, the dinner was open to all summit participants free of charge. A variety of dishes—including boneless dakgangjeong (sweet crispy chicken), grilled German-style sausages and ham, and fried rice cakes—were served alongside beer.

- Against the backdrop of Banpo Bridge’s vibrant rainbow fountain, participants were able to relax and enjoy easy conversation.

- The evening also marked a moment of farewell, as we expressed our appreciation to Caitlin McCombs (M.Ed. ’22), who concluded her term as the UT officer in charge of South Korea, and to Chaewon "Joanne" Kim (ILA ’17), who completed her term as PR Committee Chair of the alumni association.
- Our sincere thanks to John Kim (PGE ’05) for hosting the dinner, and to all participants who made the evening memorable.
